COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE UK

90 minutes  | £75

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe, painless and non-surgical method of reducing the signs of ageing and lifting the face. By increasing local circulation of blood and lymph, collagen production is enhanced leaving the skin looking visibly younger and more radiant.

Unlike invasive treatments that carry a significant number of possible side effects, Cosmetic Acupuncture is a completely natural and holistic anti-ageing treatment that targets fine lines and wrinkles.

Cosmetic Acupuncture was featured on two Channel 4 TV series called '10 Years Younger' and 'How Not to Get Old', showing how Facial Acupuncture treatments concentrate on points and muscles on the face improving elasticity of the skin and the general overall appearance.

PREPARATIONS PRIOR TO TREATMENT

Please arrive for treatment without wearing make-up.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR INITIAL COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE CONSULTATION AND TREATMENT
Berenice will analyse and discuss your skin care needs with you finding out the desired results you'd like to obtain from Cosmetic Acupuncture that may include areas of focus such as the eyes, top lip, laughter lines and forehead.  You may also decide to concentrate your treatment on lifting the face, especially the cheek region and jowls where the face starts to sag.

A 40 minute Cosmetic Acupuncture treatment including an acupressure facial massage is included in the first appointment.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR SUBSEQUENT COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS

In addition to the cosmetic acupuncture targeting facial points and muscles, your treatment includes a relaxing and therapeutic facial massage followed by a cooling and soothing application of a jade guasha stone and jade roller to stimulate blood flow, aid lymphatic drainage and tone.

Body points are also used to help ground the treatment and aid relaxation resulting in a pure holistic approach to restore balance for both the body and mind.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO YOU NEED?

Optimal results are achieved with a course of 6-10 sessions (results can been seen after the 4-5 treatment, with considerable results achieved after 7-8 treatments).

The immediate effect is that your skin will look and feel more supple and smooth with a healthy radiant glow. As each facial patient is unique, the amount of sessions will vary dependent on individual skin care needs and lifestyle factors such as history of smoking, age and sun damage.

FOLLOW-UP COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS
At the end of the cosmetic acupuncture course when desired anti-ageing and face lifting results have been achieved, maintenance booster treatments are recommended. Depending of your individual lifestyle factors mentioned above, this could be fortnightly to begin with moving to monthly or six weekly appointments to obtain elasticity and smooth looking skin.

CAN I WEAR MAKE-UP AFTER COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE?

It's recommended to wait 24 hours before applying any skin care or make-up.

A post-treatment recovery cream will be applied to your skin following treatment to moisturise and restore its skin barrier function.
